“I test it at your sink, and you read it with me.”

We did not come to this from the water industry. We came to it from reading what is actually in the water our own family drink, bathe in, and get their bottles filled from. the City of Midland publishes its own hardness at 400 to 600 parts per million — two to three times what the trade already calls very hard. Up in Dallas–Fort Worth it is lake water off the reservoirs, moderately hard, and the complaint there is usually the taste rather than the scale.

Once you know, you start seeing it everywhere. The film on the shower door two days after you cleaned it. The water heater that went years early. Your kids’ skin after a bath. None of it is dangerous, and we will never tell you it is. It is just quietly taking things from you, and it is a genuinely easy thing to stop.

We have both lived in West Texas and DFW our whole lives and have worked for ourselves here for years, so this is our own town’s water we are talking about, not a territory somebody assigned us.

What we found when we started looking at this industry was a lot of theatre. Appointments that run three hours at somebody’s kitchen table. Prices that move depending on whether you look likely to say yes tonight. Equipment marked up several times over.

So Aqua One is deliberately the opposite of that. We test your water at your own sink, free, and you watch the result rather than waiting on an emailed PDF. We give you one price, and it is the price. We sell the same class of equipment the national brands do for roughly an exact number for your house — because the markup was always the product.

And if the test comes back and you do not need a system, we will tell you that. It is a strange thing for a salesman to say. It is also the entire reason we started this.
